David Sable, Global CEO of Young & Rubicam, discusses the exciting work that he has seen at Cannes and how the “simplicity of telling stories” has become prevalent in much of the work featured this year. He emphasizes that the path to purchase is in “doing what we always did” that “technology has made it easier to share and find information” but it has not changed the basic concepts of what is intuitive to human behavior. Sable says that “technology facilitates a natural extension of human behavior in making the search process simpler.” In this regard, he is referring to Microsoft’s Bing, which he believes has “taken simplicity and made it intelligently simpler.”
