Along the way, he has earned the distinction as one of the agency’s most awarded creative talents.

Kelly, Effie Worldwide, National ADDY, Radio-Mercury, The Web Marketing Association and the Yahoo! Big Idea Chair. Jim’s work for both Nike and Häagen-Dazs are on permanent display at the MoMA. Additionally, his integrated “Help the Honey Bees” campaign for Häagen-Dazs earned the brand the first-ever Green Pencil awarded by The One Club.
Jim came to advertising by way of the Portfolio Center in Atlanta following a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. His first ad job was at Hill Holiday Advertising in Boston as a media planner. He cut his writer’s teeth at Mullen Advertising in Wenham, Massachusetts, then took a position at Cole & Weber United in Seattle that evolved into a creative director/partner position before settling in at Goodby in 2006.
Jim currently resides in Manhattan with his wife Sharlyn, their Labrador Retriever “Teej” and their brand new baby boy, Kayden James. Jim enjoys Stand-Up Paddle Surfing, biking and, as a reward, smoking large quantities of meat on his grill while contemplating new tricks to teach Teej (like how to change diapers).
